MOT Dipped beam tell-tale required for MOT?

The little green dipped beam tell tale on the dash of my girlfriends Honda CRV stopped working last year, the full beam blue one works fine and obviously the actual lights work as they should.

Is it an MOT fail?

I had assumed it was just a bulb and bought replacement from Honda, but when I changed it it made no difference... I tried swapping a load of the bulbs around but to no avail...

You only need the main beam tell tale, the other one isn't part of the test and lots of cars don't even have them.

Yep I have a new V40 with the snazzy digital dash.

Also has auto lights, and unless I turn on the main beam I've no idea which of my lights are on at time.

If I put on the main beam then I get a pretty blue icon on the TFT dash, but apart from that no idea.
