TivHead's convoy plans to leave South Mimms on Saturday morning 10 August for Duxford.

Anyone up for this excellent photo opportunity?

Of course the cruise up the A10 has its attractions too...

If your planning on the A10 route, can I suggest taking a country detour ??
Get off the A10 at the second roundabout to Puckeridge (B1368 to Braughing / Barley) then pickup the A505 towards Duxford.

I'll be up for that too Angus. I'll even bring along some Christian music along too just to wind you up, not that you'll hear it over all the noise though

Hi, Still pretty new to this board, and only been a tiv owner since May, and this maybe my first offical tiv day out!! I live in Royston so when you decide on the route could you let me know as i will join you along the A10 as there is little point in me coming all the way to south mimms (or is there)!

Cheers

Don't you dare! Or I'll be forced to bring my video copy of Songs of Praise when I was on it in 1979 at St Chad's in Birmingham!

Give us a spot to park up and we'll collect you on the way through. Isn't there a Little Chef/garage with parking just after/before Royston on the A10?

Here's the official timetable.

11.00 am. TVR Gate opens plus Museum open.
Tea & coffee available on arrival,
Small Payment to: Mencap & Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
11.30 am. Flights in vintage Aircraft available. Extra charge.
4.00 pm. BBQ.
4.30 pm. Concours Prize giving.
6.30 pm. `Sprinting' along runway.
8.00 pm. `Mania' Closes.

I reckon we should aim to meet at South Mimms at 9 for a 9.30 departure. 90 mins should be enough even with a stop en-route in Royston for more cars.

What do you think?

Looks like we have ourselves a convoy!

The meeting spot is the car park for the services, not the petrol station. THere's shops and breakfast restaurants there etc.

Get there early for a bacon butty!

9 for 9.30 depart it is then.

Angus,

A1 to Baldock then pick up the A505 is a beter route, especially as I've got to pick up my mate from Wheathampstead. Another got route A1, A414 to Ware then a B road (will have to check the map), which will pick up A505 the other side of Royston.

If we've got us a convoy, it would be rude not to join in the fun. See you all at South Mimms.

to use the quote, click the quote icon in the text box you want to quote from. So, look at the top of this text box. See it?

Go on, have a go now! It'll help to keep this thread near the top so hopefully more will join our convoy!

I hope to join you all - hopefully in Purple Chim 450 from Hatfield. Not my car (M rebuild) but the owner Chris is in plaster at the moment, so i'm hoping to be official chauffer (sp!). Which route are you all taking from South Mimms, as we may just join you en route.

Cheers,

Tony
