Ok so i got a pair of mint fiesta rear lights with smoked indicators!
The old ones got very hot for some reason:

So i drilled two holes the let some heat out, should that ever become a problem smile

I took the old ones out and polished the pods from the inside with Meguiars sealant nr 20. Good stuff. Also gave the lights a polish to make them look like new.

Finished!

Not pictured... on the light with the reverse light on I used thin masking tape and red transparent paint, the white square in no longer visible under the pods smile like I did on the old fiestas:

This sort of thread REALLY pisses me off.

I had never even noticed that I could see the indicators through them. Now I won't be happy with the rear view of my chim until my indicator lenses are smoked.

Why couldn't you just sod off?

What did you use to fix them in place? Sikaflex?

No mine are screwed in place, 3mm drill through the fiesta light and fibreglass in 3 places, normal wood screws with philips + head. If theres a gap in the bottom you can use black automotive "gum", looks like sika but isnt glue and never dries.

You've got to run a bead of sikaflex around the edge of the lights to make a seal regardless of whether they're screwed in otherwise the inside of the clear lens will steam up and drive you potty smile
