Hi dears,

I read that the chassis number is carved on the actual frame chassis ?

An owner told me his was carved on a frame under the right exhaust manifold (maybe under some paint smile ) but I can't find any on mine.

Can anybody confirm this is valid for all the s series (mine in actually a S2 ) and maybe provide a picture of where I can find this number precisely ?

(MOT-like centers here need the number to be carved, I think the plate on the body will not be enough frown )

thanks

On mine it looks like the numbers were stamped onto a plate which was then welded to the top chassis rail directly beneath the alternator.
If some cars were stamped directly onto the chassis it could be a bit trickier to find?

This is how they all should be.....some may have the paint removed to show the number
