Would be interested to hear recommendation for replacement tyres for my Chimaera 450. I currently have Falken 452 225/50 ZR16 92W on rear and Dunlop SP 9000 205/55 ZR15 on front. I need fronts changed now but the rears will be OK for another year or so.

I don't track my car so I'm perfectly happy with my Uniroyal RainSport 3's on my 450.

Out of interest, do you have standard size tyres on the front (205/55/15)?

If so, where did you get your Rainsport 3s from? I haven't seen them in stock in that size at any of the major online tyre suppliers for ages. They're supposed to be available, but never in stock.

There's always the popular Toyo T1R, as I have fitted, and have no complaints for road use & occasional sprints, although I'm not sure about 15" sizes.

If your car has p/s then a 225x50x15 up front is great for steering weight feel combined with power rack - you can use 245x45x16 on rear as per oe for 500 variants for very planted car. Toyo's T1R good & just about available

federal 595 RSRs are on my car for road and track use. They make good dry/damp road tyres, but I also find the grip as good as most track tyres.
I will be using them on Wednesday for a track day at Snetterton.
