Ok who's being watching it? Not very PH but what's not to like ? Good clean family stuff, my 9 year old daughter is enthralled so she cant possibly be wrong.

We've been watching it. Very enjoyable. Seems more like a Sunday night programme doesn't it?

Lady Katherine Longmore is rather jolly spiffing too!

I've been watching this as well, partly because I recalled reading some years ago that the predecessor to the zoo was very close to here.

I don't normally bother with programmes like this but I am really enjoying it. It's a really quaint happy feeling show which makes a change from the usual doom and gloom output.

Indeed she is. Was also stunning as Madame de Pompadour in Dr Who (The Girl In The Fireplace)

That had been my thought too.

I can only assume that the Powers That Be at Auntie decided it wasn't going to fare well if they put it head to head on a Sunday evening with Downton Abbey, which I gather is back this Sunday....

Very much enjoying it. Good entertainment but it did make me a nosey bugger and went and read a load of the "true" story of the zoo.

Loving it in our house! I wondered why it was on at 9pm as it's clean as a whistle, but I guess that's the prime slot.

Really enjoyable. Fancy visiting Chester Zoo now!

We've been watching it. It's nicely inoffensive and cutesy with a few good characters.

Some utterly ridiculous and unbelievable scenes though. Apparently one man can dig a 12foot wide moat that's 50ft long on his own in a few hours, and then fill it with water in about 30 seconds! (how was it even waterproof?)

And how did they get those birds into the chest of drawers?

Brilliant.

But if you ignore the wild inconsistencies and illogical moments it makes for easy and amusing viewing. smile

We were racking our brains where we had seen the school teacher before, just had to look it up. Sky adverts with Bruce Willis.

Thank you smile

I knew I had seen her somewhere and couldn't for the life of me figure out where!

I'm really enjoying this series. Like others have said, it's just a nice, enjoyable program.

Just watched them all. Utterly brilliant, great characters, acting and story.
With this, Marvellous and Peaky Blinders, makes me think the BBC is making great programmes again.

Wish I'd been in this now.

Think so.

Here's hoping for S2.

Just got round to watching it.

What a wonderful, happy and uplifting programme. I hope the BBC do more like this.

Just one question: What stupid scheduler thought it was a good idea sticking it on so late ?
