That's one way to avoid the impound fees...

Blimey! Very lucky to have completed such a maneuver without damaging the car.

He could easily have bent something - and probably has. I had a lesser drop in competiton and bent one of the front stub axles and the steering box. Neither were immediately obvious on a casual inspection.

The version I saw he driving away rattling like a tin can, and the car definitely dropped a lot of fluid from the front.

Probably couldn't afford for the car to get to the pound, not with the body still in the boot. wink

Very odd that the police are no longer involved. That would imply that the car is registered to someone, taxed and insured and with a valid MOT.

It also implies that the police are turning a blind eye to a seriously dangerous bit of driving. Not sure I feel happy about sharing the road with people and cars like that.

Agreed - I know you shouldn't believe everything you read in the paper, but it seems a bit poor of the Police if true.

Vauxhall, was it? Usually at least two bodies in those.

Both of whom were previous drivers who died of boredom perchance.

Topic still looks very open to me.

I saw the same video without the voiceover and you can hear the exhaust scraping along the floor as he drives away. All-in-all he's probably done more £ of damage to the car by driving off the truck than the fine he'd have to pay.

I guess the car was being taken for something that was going to result in him not getting it back? Presumably he's just thinking he has nothing to lose?
