1.9 TDI PD Crank Pulley Wobble...
Discussion
Hi all,
I never really noticed this until the other day when I was driving with my passenger window down.

As you can see, the crank pulley appears almost loose. There is a violent wobble.
Is it common for this to happen? The timing belt was done in April so I'm thinking perhaps it wasn't put back together properly...
Any help appreciated!

It's possible the pulley has been put on incorrectly. There is a small locator on the crankshaft pulley, if that is in the wrong place it could cause this. Also, the bolts (6mm Allen) that hold the pulley on are made of chocolate and in the wrong hands can be easily round off.
That's interesting, and could very well be true. I might just have to bite my lip and tear it down. Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
