Well over priced I'm afraid.

Very similar spec to mine. Except I have Bose & some fancy multi-way seats. Mines Bassalt black. I bought 2 years ago from a dealer £16k.

It's an usual spec, I like guards red it's the right colour for a sports car, however I would definitely not want tiptronic, red needs a manual box IMO. I also agree it is too expensive to attract a sale, especially at this time of year. I sold an 05 plate 20000 miles 3.2 S in silver back in 2010 for 17.7k the new owner sold it in 2012 for 13k with just over 30000miles on it. The used market has picked up a bit since then to be fair however at this time of year you really do need to find the right buyer for that spec, 11-12k at best for me, sorry it's not what you wanted to hear, try it on e-bay for £12995 or best offer would be my advice!!

Please don't become one of these "if I were to buy" forum posters.

loads of people say "if I had the money" or "if I wanted a car" etc etc but we all know when push comes to shove none of these people would buy what they say on forums

bit like the bks 100k garage bull st threads, no one would buy if they had 100k

SO lets put a stop to it now before it gets out of hand :-)

point is you did not or have not owned a car with blue leather, and that's a fact so until you buy one I call bullstty ;-)

once a car gets older there are quite a few things which make them unsellanle at top money

tiptronic seems to be a bad seller now and Blue leather has always been as is dogs knob red every thing inc steering wheel.
2 tone looks nice or a bit of another colour.

I agree silver cars with blue look ok, but I would not buy one unless it was a hand me back 3 year pcp.

We will never agree then :-)

in the slow car selling times all the nice private cars sold, all the blue leather cars were traded in cheaper at 911v or rsj etc

They are slow sellers. I was quite shocked to see how many blue leather cars were stuck at dealers.
People just could not shift them for top money private so had no choice to sell tothe 3rd parties.

Yes they sell but at a price like most things.

Cars are selling atm quite well but you can stick full blue and full on red where the sun don't shine.
Porsche go way over the top.

The car looks nice. Looking at the advert the points I'd address are:

1) Check price
2) Clearly clarify why it's a 'rare spec'? Remove if it's not.
3) 'Both owners have been ladies' I'd remove this. It will put as many off.
4) Don't list the 'heater' or 'key' issues if they're now sorted.
5) List the service history as a section
6) Cut out the jargon 'no expense spared'
7) Show any negatives in the photos - it demonstrates honesty!

Good luck with the sale. smile

I'm trying to sell a Cayman (admittedly not yet on Ebay) and wandered whether this was just not a really bad time of year to try to sell a car? I'll perhaps give ebay a whirl but was wandering whether I'd not be best just waiting until the spring.

Blue leather is fine. I am pretty sure its not savannah esque in its effect on values.

i like it in red, though don't think it's the colour most would go for, and £12k to £12.500 would sell it,though £10,500 would probably shift it in a week.
