Hi all,

I was wondering if you had any suggestions on where to advertise for driving positions that we have available. Going to normal agencies etc is expensive. I've used Gumtree before and a fellow PHer used to list on job sites for us at a very good rate however he's no longer in that field.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Well, there is a jobs forum on PH, how about advertising the jobs on that, as a start. Job Centre is another good one, and very cheap too.

Trucknet if it's for larger vehicles:

You have to register to post adverts.

Or how about sign writing on your current fleet?

As you may or may not be aware the HGV driver market is hard at the moment with rates in some sectors rising by the month. You need to ensure you're offering the market rate and then either 1) advertise locally or 2) use an industry related website as previously suggested.

You could also take drivers on using the agencies you mention but agree a temp to perm after a given period, usually 13 weeks.
