I'm trying to find a company that can make me some legal import plates for the Ute. They have to fit limited space and I can use the smaller size letters as its an import. Trying to find someone to do them online is proving difficult as no one will reply to my queries.

Any recommendations appreciated.

FancyPlates do 390x84mm (3/4 size), although their retroreflective material is a bit glittery! I had a full size plate made up locally but with motorbike-sized lettering, then cut it down to size.

I got a late from CraigsPlates (15"x3.5") but the text was way too "thin".

MyShowPlates could only do a 16"x4.5", but biased the text to one side so the text was correctly centered after I trimmed an inch off the width.

It meets all the "import" plate font/spacing requirements.

355 x 122 (or whatever that is in English) to fit into the holder. Need to be 60mm high letters or whatever the smaller legal size is.

Thanks. They have sorted the rear plate (legal for imports) but can't do the front as their plate suppliers haven't got anything that will cut down.

I use Demon Plates http://www.demonplates.co.uk/ for my custom sized front plate to fit in the recess. You'll need to call them to place a custom sized order though. Quality of their products is pretty good too.

Very good. A tile saw cuts it quite nicely.
