Is it good idea to use copper grease on brake pads these days? Because i've heard and read somewhere that using copper grease can create problems with ABS system and electronics.

Any suggestion is welcome

Unless the CS flys off into the ABS ring i cant see why it would be a problem, i use it all the time on caliper carriers to prevent the pad sticking in the slider.

I have always preferred silicone grease personally, but heard of no such issues.

I've never had a problem with a copper grease either. But after a research it made myself wonder if that's true or not.

Likely a problem only for those who butter both sides liberally.
Only actually requires the merest scrape on the back to stop it ever binding. Yes, I'd use it.

As long as you dont put it on the wrong side of the pad, it will not cause any problems.

Or...well as long as dont completely plaster them so it goes everywhere else either...

Common sense kind of thing. It will not affect the ABS in any shape or form.

You can get specific brake grease from your local motor factors. Mintex or apec brand.

Specifically designed for brake pads.
Only 4 pounds for a small tube and will cover you 15 brake pad changes easy.
