Just wondered if anyone went last year?
Only just found out about it and was planning to take my 6yr old lad tomorrow, I was thinking of using a park and ride as I imagine the traffic might be a bit of a mare. I only live about 45 mins away. Anyone got any suggestions on where to park etc.
Thanks in advance.......

I went today. I think it'd be a great show to take a kid to as there are plenty of attractions if the planes don't cut it.

Turns out tomorrow will be by far the best day, with good weather and the Vulcan postponed from today as well as the Canberra and Candian lanc.

I drove in from the south arriving 2 hours before first aircraft and traffic was ok today. I hear other routes were bad. An hour to get out of the car park after the show. Wish I was going tomorrow now as the weather and missing planes today was a bit of a downer.

Will be a nightmare to drive into Southport from any direction tomorrow morning, expect to queue up to two hours going off previous years.

I would set off very early arriving before 9am and you should be OK.

Might go myself, my brother is there all weekend.

Yeah, just posted in the Northwest forum about it, I booked the train tonight, have to change in Liverpool, takes 1h 45m and costs £14.50 return for us both all in so probably at lot less stress, it was getting out that I wasn't looking forward too.
Does the Vulcan no show mean it will be there tomorrow? No worries either way as I am sure he will really enjoy it all....
