Haven't been to XXtreme but done one in the UK called lets race (http://www.letsrace.co.uk/), apparently its where GP2/3 teams go to practice. Personally having done a fair few track days I didn't rate it, about 5 of us came away feeling disorientated and sick. we all said we wouldn't go back.

I had to stop (and so did my kids) after about 15 minutes of what was meant to be a longer session. That being said another family loved it.
We are (as a family) somewhat susceptible to motion sickness so we might just be a gang of wimps!
I wouldn't go back just because of that...the qaulity of the sims was high though I have to admit (which likely contributed to them becoming vomit comets!)
