My Son is staying in a House in Headingley, well more Hyde Park. I picked him up today to take him riding. It's a good job I know Leeds or I would have been stuck for hours. And will somebody tell the Mums and Dads from Outside Leeds the Bus lane Past the Uni does not operate on a weekend. Actually don't it made my life a lot easier.

The invasion began yesterday. While out on collection (RM driver) it took me about 20/30mins to get from Headingley post office to Hyde Park Corner. It was bad both ways along Otley Road.

It's nuts how people will queue in single file all the way from Woodhouse lane (Halo) to the Library pub even after 18:30.

Had the same situation in Sheffield around the uni accommodation - main problem being traffic from the M1 having to come right through the centre of town to get to the halls, chaos ensued as everyone was in the wrong lane/trying to make 3-point turns in ridiculous places/abandoning rather than parking their car etc etc. Add in our brainless council deciding to carry out roadworks involving temporary lights on the A57 towards Broomhill this of all weekends and it was a no-go area

My only gripe with this piece of road is that the junction outside the Library is marked up with signs that say the left lane can't go straight on, left turn only in the LH lane - no idea why but my highway code OCD means I have to obey and pull out into the RH lane at that point just to go back in again past the park.

Yeah know what you mean tapeworm, just hope for a taxi to turn right before the library so you can nip back in right hand lane. I only drive up there to empty Leeds uni postbox so i need to turn left.
