Having received confirmation from Charlie that we can run a RR day on Saturday 6th December I am hoping to get cars from the Porsche fraternity on board. As usual I have only posted this here and on boxa.net

Surrey Rolling Road is in Farnborough, Hants, near Wickes / B&Q so close to town centre to drop off the wife/girlfriend to do the shopping wink

You get 2 or 3 runs on the dyno / rolling road, an AFR check and a variety of printed plots of your engine output, eg power and torque at the wheels, estimated crank output etc. Lunch will likely be at a decent local pub such as the Brickmakers in Windlesham which we used twice last year. The runs are also a useful quick health check. We had one chap in a 911 who was diagnosed with a faulty MAF and my own previous car was running a bit lean due to modifications. In both cases corrective action could be taken quickly.

I would hope to get circa 12 to 15 cars in between 9.30am and 13.00pm with a run circa every 15 mins.

Please post your name, car, time preference, whether you want lunch and how many for lunch. Please can you also PM me your email address to save clogging up the thread with timeslot changes or various requests etc

Lunch will be circa 13.00-13.30 depending on numbers running. Above all these days are a great social event.

Ed - probably won't be back in some Pork by then but I'll head down for a catch up and grab some lunch.

I'll see if I can get a 6.2 GT3 from PH down!

We've had 5 or 6 GT3s at each of the days I've held now. If you could rustle up a Carrera GT that would be good wink

Might be easier said than done... The GT3 I wanted to come will be tucked up for Winter, which is where I guess the CGTs will be!

I asked Charlie re the Panamera the other day. Yes the dyno is 4wd but he thinks it won't like being run on the dyno so is hesitant to do it on a dyno day. Sorry. He did do a Cayenne Turbo on another day I organised a year or two ago and that also didn't want to run cleanly on the dyno.

If it helps there is a "Dyno Run" setting on the PWEIS / similar which disables the yaw/speed sensors on the 981/991 that cause the ECU to think the car is sliding/spinning etc.

My 981 Cayman would not run to full power when I went on a dyno day at Thruxton (GT3 997.1 ran OK) but Regal in Southampton worked out how to do it - they upgrade Turbos so assume it copes with 4WD.

We had a 981 Boxster S last year and it ran fine. I can't remember whether it was manual or PDK but it was particularly strong at something like 335bhp. Everything else seemed to be there or thereabouts.

Maybe I should ask Charlie if he'll change my noisy alternator belt and then run my Williams...

Go for it. I've had to swell the numbers with a couple of non Porsche and I think there is an AMG A45 coming now too.

Alright chap, stick me down for a power run and I'll see if I can get them to sort the car for me before or somewhere else... Or do it myself in the cold!
