Ia recent addition to the house meant that a 2 seater ute wasn't going to work, so picked up this machine last weekend.

It's an 07 manual LS2 with full wortec, headers etc, and a monkfish cam.
First impressions are good, it's way more composed to drive compared to my ute, and has all the modern toys.
For reference, here's my ute smokin

Thanks guys,
The ute is going to be up for sale soon. I have no real use for it anymore, so time for somebody else to enjoy it. I dread to add up how much I've spent on it over the last 5 years lol. I will miss the cargo space, it was ideal for carrying my mountain bike but I'm planning on building a combo with a vxr Astra engine sometime next year.

The previous owner of the VXR8 removed all the vauxhall badges, and I'd be keen to put them back on. Anybody have a set lying around? I don't fancy paying vauxhall prices for them!

Wheel centres on ebay. smile

Selling your HSV centres should fund a whole set for your car.

Thats the first time i have ever heard of any one wanting to put the badge back on!! how much will that depreciate the car?

I'm with the op on this, my vxr8 has had the vauxhall badges replaced with hsv ones, although it's a lot "cooler" to have them it is and always will be a vauxhall, even though the badges are the only thing they change, it's no better than the m or amg badges on the German rivals that are actually diesels, best just to de badge altogether, again only my opinion before you all start lol!

Once the tax disc can be removed next week, there will be no mention of Vauxhall on my car. smile

I'm no badge snob, but the HSV badging seems far more "appropriate" to me.

What does your V5 say? What will come up on the DVLA website, when people check your registration?

If people are so ashamed of having Vauxhall badges on their car, then maybe these cars aren't for them. scratchchin

My V5 isn't kept on my car, so I stand by my statement. My car is badged up as an HSV VXR8, so I don't claim it's logical biggrin

My Seats say "GTS" and the only wording is V8 on wings and HSV on the Calipers

Badges or no Badges, down to the owner and personal preference.

Must admit I debadge some of the ones I have but i don't rebadge them

That's because you're a skin-flint, and you're flogging the Vauxhall badges on ebay. hehe

For the record, I have seen him giving badges away, and benefited from his hospitality. lick
