Great car - just about to sell mine, has just had the gearbox rebuilt. Does yours have the 3rd to 4th crunch?
Hey thanks, no crunching so I count myself lucky. I try to do everything I can to give my gear box as easy time as possible it seems to just be luck of the draw. Are you getting another RenaultSport or has the box issues put you off?

A week later than I'd planned due to the weather but I got my HEL brake lines fitted today and got the ATE blue fluid flushed through and replaced with MOTUL RBF 600. I'm hoping in a day or two my squeaky clutch will sort itself out (fingers crossed).

My old mucky rear lines

Much better

The front ones running the correct route so no rubbing but I'll be putting in an extra bracket to ensure they stay like this

Will be taking it out tomorrow for a proper run to see if they make any difference to pedal feel.

Cheers

Glad to hear your still enjoying your Clio, lovely car you have, I've recently lost about 150 odd bhp and about 600 odd kilos and I know which car I enjoy driving more, a Clio is definitely on my to do list.

Just a few photo's of the last couple of weeks with my H&R springs and 19mm spacers fitted, along with my morning at the Evo triangle last weekend.

Exciting day getting everything together finally spending money on some fun stuff

I always said if the spacers affected the handling badly in any way they'd be straight off. I'd never want to put looks before performance so I went to wales for a shakedown run to see what I thought.

I'm happy to say IMO the car still handles bang on, the H&R's are great as they handle a B road blast without being jumpy but cornering is slightly flatter.

Cheers

Hi, cheers. I've heard a few people rate those Mintex pads, do you get much dust from them? Thats my only real gripe with the ds2500's

yeah a little but not a stupid amount i think, also they are quite noisy as they are better suited on track so if you not really going to be doing track work id go for the 1144 i think.

Hope you enjoyed your drive mate. Sorry we lost you. We turned right out of the petrol station drove over the bridge and around the right handed and took a left towards Betsy Coed, you just disappeared. Car looks nice. Top marks for driving so far to get to the triangle.

It is good to see someone getting a little hands on with a modernish car smile. I own a 172 ATM and truth be told it is more fun than I was expecting, with me buying it for similar reasons to you.

However, I do also have the cambelt due and the dephaser to be changed this time around. That is a lovely cheap bill...

Enjoy the car smile.

Very nice buddy!

I have a Clio 200 Cup and funnily have pretty much completed the exact same job list as yo, minus the brakes as mine are ok currently. I did remove the wheels at the weekend and fully clean the calipers (clay polish and wax) so will update that soon. I bought mine from a Renault Technician in Northern Ireland so it was mint. He'd replaced the gearbox and steering wheel under warranty and manifold etc. She has the odd rattle but otherwise it's pukka smile

They are great cars though I love mine. Absolutely STICKS to the road. I do like it when people try to follow around a quick corner and you see them slowly disappear biggrin

I knew I forgot to ask something! How much was it to get your steering wheel recovered and from where? I know you have mentioned a name but I am wondering about the contact details smile.

You can message me if you wish. As you have guessed mine is not all that great.
