ios 8 - rubbish

I might have missed this somewhere, but have you definitely done the below? It always fixes these issues when I see them.

To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

It won't delete anything, and takes about 30 seconds

Yes about 30 times yesterday.


It was taking 3 resets to restart after turning off.

Hello ( fk me why is this keypad so big Jesus) why is it grey? Why do they fk with these things.

This iPad mini is taking about a minute to open every page. Just gave up on a youtube clip it's pretty much unusable.

Good job ii get this stuff free. Anybody know why Internet unusable? I will answer any replies some time tonight when the page refreshes.

Oh and can I make this smaller? Keypad I mean.

This is why I fear change. Oh look I can't just press the submit button any more like I used to have to scroll up. I hate doing more actions than. I need to. Is that progress.

Settings/General/Keyboard... Turn predictive off and it's back to normal size.

My god that took 10 minutes to get back to page after posting that. And why is the keypad covering this window that I'm typing in now.
It used to auto center I have to scroll page up now to see what I'm typing and down to press submit. s.

Im so happy that ios 7 is stable ffs

Every time i sync with itunes it shoves up all my ipaps together.
Whereas i had apps on different scrrens...ie my apps seperated from my daughters apps.

I have the answer but you won't listen so I won't share. I can tell you though that it's user error.

A rather annoying feature of ios8 is the private browsing option in Safari.

In 7, when you turned private browsing off, it gave you the option to close all the tabs....ios8 however just switches back to normal browsing but.... keeps the 'private' tabs open when you switch back to private! - Important if you share your phone with your OH for example...

I guess its user error causing the crashes aswell lol

Ive spent 30 mins looking for a distinctive colored app on ipad.
I had to go via itunes and delete there and reinstall.

Not user error.

Does the extra size not just come from the bar that shows the predictions?

I hated it as it took up some of the reply box space. Turned it off and it seems fine to me now.

Not IOS's fault, but the Barclays mobile banking app does not work with IOS8! Bloody Barclays! I seem to recall the same thing happening last year with IOS7!

Which is why its always worth holding off updating unless you have too.

If people are having issues with WiFi this supposedly fixes it :

Go into Settings, select Privacy, then Location Services, followed by System Services, where you'll want to disable Wi-Fi Networking.

This doesn't turn your Wi-Fi off, it just disables a setting that seems to be getting in the way of normal connection speeds. And some users on the forums said this has helped things get back to normal. Others said just resetting their networking settings gave some relief.
