It's still full of bugs for me. In addition to the ones I've previously mentioned sometimes when I go to my email the screen goes completely blank, then my wallpaper appears with the information bar at the top of the screen, but nothing else.

I'm amazed how terrible it is.

We have it running on an iPhone 4, a 5, two old iPads and an iPad Air.

No problems at all.

Can anyone who has no bugs copy an image url in iOS 8? If so, how do you do it? I'm stumped.

I haven't encountered any obvious bugs, but just find ios8 is really sluggish on both an iPad Mini and Ipad 2. Even for simple browsing, every operation in safari seems to take at least twice as long as it did with ios7, and it just feels s l o o o o o w.

It's very disappointing, and I haven't upgraded my iPhone 4s as I don't want to take the risk of that slowing down in the same way...

I couldn't even upload to photobucket, downloaded Chrome, works fine, upload and copy and paste, if that helps.

So, basically main issues now seem to revolve around Safari, and the use of a different browser fixes the issues?

no.

not on my ipad mini

even if it did, I like safari I'm used to it and all my favorites are there where I like them and i like using it. I want it to work.

My mini still freezes weather i use safari or chrome and its still noticeably slower than it was.

Anybody upgraded their ipad to IOS 8.0.2 and did it make any difference?

I am currently suffering from "Once bitten, twich shy" syndrome.

Happily running an iPad mini on iOS 8.0.2 here

I've noticed that some web pages render differently to before especially in terms of blocks of data like an individual response in a thread, but nothing terrible, just different. The whole browser compatibility thing is getting worse at the moment across the industry especially where backward compatibility is required

Yes, our iPads are on 8.0.2 running fine.

In the main the things that you may have a problem with on an operating system upgrade is likely to be third party stuff, so apps. If it's from Apple or another major supplier there will have been upgrades and testing and in the main it'll be fine. But the myriad of apps from smaller suppliers are the danger point.

iOS 8 has been an awful release. Safari is now absolutely rubbish on my iPhone.

My wife has a brand new iPhone 6 which she uses as an e-reader. iBooks crashes every 5mins (known fault in support forums) so that's another apple app not working!

Been doing some digging, it looks like Apple will be releasing 8.1 this month, which contains fixes for the bugs found in the previous versions.

If you're not running a version of 8 I would hold fire for 8.1. IOS 8 has not run as well on four out of five devices here.

After reading all the comments about it ruining the iPad 2 (in terms of performance anyway) I think I'll stick to 7.1.2, however, I've got an issue where even though connected to WiFi, it seems to not to be able to connect to the internet, turning airplane mode of an on jolts it back to life and it works again, anyone else have a similar issue with theirs?

After still regretting having updated my 4S to 7.x, I think I'm going to avoid 8.x entirely on the phone.
I had a back up of my iPad Air that I restored about a week after having used 8.0, I'll be waiting out 8.1 on that I think.

Still no issues (that I've noticed) with my iPhone 6 or iPad 2, both running ios 8.

But both devices were clean installed ota, not restored with apps.

Let's see if 8.1 is any better...

Since 8.x I've been using my cheapo Android phone as it's just been better at doing stuff, which is a shame as I like Apple kit but it's no good if it hangs and crashes.
