CRX nurburgring lap, frustrated driver
Discussion
Watched this vid earlier, the driver is certainly fully committed trying to set a fast lap. Looks like a good lap until he gets held up by a green Focus RS who is either oblivious or doesn't want to be overtaken, then 2 bikes get in his way. Never been to the ring so not sure on "ring etiquette"

The Ring can, especially on TF days, be extremely frustrating, best bet is to do trackdays instead if your looking to post a decent lap . Its also worth remembering that normal German traffick laws apply, IE, no overtaking on the right, and also hand signs are forbidden and can earn you a fine if seen.
Anyone seen overtaking on the RH has to be reported if seen by an instructor/official.And yes, it does happen all to often, and yes it DOES get reported!

It's not unique to the ring, you get that at a lot of track days. The worst I recall was a chap in a cobra rep who strung up a queue of about 5 cars including me in my 190~hp Clio which is by no means an effective overtaker when put up against anything else on track.
Terrible marshalling meant we had to follow him for nearly 2 laps before he realised that he was significantly slower than me and anything else there that day before he pulled over.
Didn't get particularly riled though, was having too much fun the rest of the time to care.

I was at the ring last weekend (20th 21st Sept) and I understand why people get frustrated. I was held up by two big German reg BMW's who refused to let me though in my SEAT Ibiza 1.9 diesel which was clearly quicker than their 60k + BMW's.
They let GT3's through but my car was invisible.
Eventually I followed behind another GT3 to squeeze through but the bds closed the door on me and forced two of my wheels on the grass at 80mph! Horn was sounded furiously and I continued on my way.
Why can't people realise when another car catches you up it's faster so moving over would be a good idea. I think the shame of being beaten by a 11 year old diesel shopping car was to much to bare

Unfortunately it happens at every track day I have ever been to.
At some/several points in the day I innevitably spend 5/10/15/20 laps on someones back end waiting for them to move to the correct side & let the train pass.
Innevitably it is someone who falls into the category "all the gear and no idea" with more money than brain cells.

Hi Sean! I was also there funnily enough and also had issues in my "Skoda Fabia TDI". They assume a normal 5 door hatch isn't that quick....They let GT3's through but my car was invisible.

I also had a nasty incident with a UK Audi TT due to mirror fail lol!
Could it be that people have tunnel vision on this track due to it's scary nature?
I found a pic of the Green Clio that almost became one with your car on one of our laps lol. i'll post it.
The German Clio. Serious woolly hat fail for passenger. Not sure if driver was wearing a matching hat but we will forgive them as they were FAST!
