Selling iPhone on Gumtree- any risks to be aware of?
Discussion
We all know the inherent risks of buying a phone from places like eBay or Gumtree, but what about selling? Is there any risk to it?
I am looking to sell my wife's iPhone 5s and the usual "we buy your phone" sites are offering about £269 at best, which seems quite low (although I am aware that the new 6 has massively reduced values of the lesser models).
I wouldn't mind trying my hand at getting a bit more on Gumtree for the phone.
If I have it as cash only, and collect only, are there any risks from my side of things?
The phone is SIM and contract free so should be fairly desirable.
Thanks

Not really, I've sold almost all my old phones, TVs and gadgets on gumtree. You can get the same price as ebay but without the fees and generally much better prices than the cash converters.
Same principle as selling a car privately - descriptive ad, good pictures and ignore all the Nigerian princes and people with poor grammar. Obviously it helps if you live in a big city where there's lots of demand, but I imagine it would be pretty easy to sell an iPhone anywhere.
