Visited Duxford last week and saw the F-86A in the "Flying" Hanger. I thought it would be nice to see it flying so tracked down Golden Apple the operators only to find they have just sold it back to the USA. Looking at the operating costs I'm not surprised as you would need a pretty wealthy individual or group willing to fund it.

Noticed it here a while back Courtesy - think they had it at around £750k.

Yup, was sold to a new owner back in May. Surprised it's still here actually. Was expecting it to have either been split and packed into a shipping container or had the ferry tanks fitted and flown back across the pond during the decent summer weather window.
