That plate is far to new for the old E60 BMW they are using nerd
This, plus some of the other posters quotes too - i.e. the manner of driving, the fact that probably almost ANYTHING could easily outrun a Kia MPV, even if it was a Police vehicle....added into the ridiculous gear changing / engine revving / 'Hollywood' tyre skidding noises that were badly dubbed onto a fairly pedestrian film sequence...and I had already started to lose interest and engagement with the series.

But, the thing that RUINED it for me, was the horrendously predictable producers's insistence of dubbing the cliche'd 'plip-plip' noise when the BMW was locked / unlocked with the radio keyfob.

Cars have not made that ridiculous noise for YEARS now - and yet so many TV producers still insist on overdubbing it.

Why...??????!!!!!

...and why did he simply give up chasing the two tarts in stilettos? That (amongst other scenes) made it all look a little lazy for me.

Help me out here please.

I was wrong about Alan Rothwell, he DID appear in the first episode, (He was in the credits), but he wasn't Col, the ex con, so who was he?

He played a guy called "Reg"........

He had picked them up illegally for a start - he is a private hire driver not a taxi/hackey cab.

So, we have to believe:
a. Our 6 foot hero of the show can't leg after a couple of bare foot drunk tarts
b. Is worried about picking up fares in his non-hackney cab, but is capable of driving off from plod

Yea, but B happened when he was in the gang - different scenario.

He was busy extracting a stiletto heel from the back of his neck, which probably reduced his tramp chasing powers somewhat.

You silly boy!

My 2013 car does it, if you turn it on via the cars menu. Which I haven't done.

But I could.

I couldn't understand when (after his Police chase) he told his boss he'd had no problem, surely you would say you had so they could change the plates or get another car confused
Ditto
He looked in the bag and realised his boss has just had him pick up a load of guns....

So is that it?

Anyone else spot the top hinged throttle on the 5er? As pointed out by some bloke that wrote into radio 1.

What was the light that was on on the dash, going from 'the club' to 'the hole'?

After 15 mins I had to turn the I player off.

The last thing I was Morrisey in was Macbeth at the Everman in Liverpool. His throwing of a sack, with severed head and blood dripping, across the stage was quite real in a surreal sort of way.

I was under the impression that this was a two part special.

Happily be corrected though...?
