Bell DSAF visor and tear offs

Bought a Caterham and having always been in a tin top, I've found new issues with foreign objects bombarding me 
I've got a Bell DSAF which I want to protect from stones etc, as they aren't cheap. I want to check the BELL tear offs are compatable woth this visor as I'm sure I've read that it damages the coating? Can't find anything on the BELL website so may email them as a next step, but just wanted to check what other open screen drivers are doing?
