Cohabiting and separating some advise please.
Discussion
Without getting complex I just want some advise.
House bought together equal deposit put in. Agreed to sell as things not working.
Things are intolerable and I want to move out till house sells, however I am worried about being shafted if solicitors/courts are involved. I have already been cleaned out once 7 years ago and I can't afford to lose money again. In hindsight a cohabiting agreement should of been essential but it wasn't done.
If I move out am I compromising my financial position by leaving the house regardless of who asked who to leave?
Thanks in advance.

No, you are not, and absent some compelling factors you should be looking at a fifty fifty split. Try to do this by agreement or mediation and treat court as a last resort.
Thanks BV I was hoping you would reply. Hoping it will be an amicable split but want to be sure. Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
