Considering buying a fiesta ST
Discussion
Hi guys I am considering buying a fiesta St I went for a test drive and it was every bit what I expected and had read a credit to ford.
I got recommended by a friend to look at drivethedream website as the deals are pretty good but I was wonndering if there any other deals or websites offering anything on these cars. As I have seen on here people getting some better deals than those currently being advertised even better than buying a nearly new.
I was considering a new st3 as it has everything you could possibly want from what I can see, cheers for input guys.

I leased mine. Should probably work out the same as buying and selling in two years. I think you'd get about £11000 in two years if you came to sell.
A large number of these are being leased and will flood the used market.

Totally missed this post Birdster that looks like a cracking deal as i agree the market will be flooded so 5.2k for 2 years motoring in a cracking car seems pretty decent and then not tied into a baloon at the end that I wouldn't be able to afford anyway.A large number of these are being leased and will flood the used market.

Guessing this is the deal you went for and the best you could find I had a quick look and nothing seems to come close, what was it like dealing with them?
I've heard great things from other people. However two emails went unanswered. Up until point it was perfect.
The first was with regards to the supplying dealer as I wanted to arrange a detail rather than dealer preparation. They didn't answer, but to be fair I didn't explain why. I just replied to the confirmation e-mail asking who the supplying dealer was? I didn't chase, as after thinking about it and looking at what others do it didn't make sense to detail a lease car. However a reply wouldn't have hurt.
The second was regarding the delivery date. I asked to order a non style pack car for £179.99 per month (advertised on their website) and was informed that these wouldn't arrive until October and didn't cut the deal, as the car had to be registered and delivered by the end of September. So I ordered the style pack car for £189.99 and last week I chased and was informed it would arrive the end of this week. Which is October. I've replied to this e-mail asking how comes my car is arriving in October and is still eligilbe for this deal. I've yet to receive an answer to that e-mail and I don't expect one.
Minor details and I understand that the car is only a few days late, but to be told that it has to be delivered for September and I need to spend more money only for it not to arrive has soured the experience slightly as I actually wanted a non style pack car, as everyone has them and I prefer the silver alloys. I've not complained or being aggressive, I simply asked the question. I appreciate it's out of their hand due to them not making the cars themselves and that the t&c's cover this and as long as it was intended for September than it makes the finance cut off date. I guess I'm just suspicious that I was fed a line to sign up to the ore expensive car.
That's a fair representation of my experience and if I had not had to have paid more than the initial e-mail conversation suggested than I would not complain about the date as these things happen.
So it arrives the end of this week. Insurance is in place and I'm well excited.

Thanks for the info birdster great sum up of your experiences.
I emailed them today and have been accepted so just awaiting some info on what hey have available in stock or when they have a car coming in suitable for me.
Went for Panther blue St-3 10,000 miles 6+23 a only 189.16 a month so comes to 5400 total so much less than I would have had to pay on pcp or hpp. Although I will never have opportunity to buy the car at end looking at it in more detail I doubt I could of afforded to anyway. Who knows when the 2 years up like you said the used market will probably be flooded and I may pick one up for a steal if I so wanted.
Thanks for the link in first place I wouldn't of considered otherwise as all over companies charge so much more.
Also hope you enjoy the car, although I know you will.

When comparing Focus ST with Fiesta ST i think it depends on how you intend to drive the car on a daily basis.
If you want a small car that you can regularly drive like you stole it while having plenty of fun and still get reasonable running costs, then the Fiesta is the car for you.
If you dont mind paying for bigger car refinement and practicality thats capable of even quicker performance when required, then the Focus is the car for you.
Sit in the drivers seat of a Focus ST3 and it is undeniably a better place to be compared with a Fiesta ST3, but it is about 25% more expensive to buy, and on average around 10mpg down on fuel consumption.
Neither ST models are what could be called good long distance cruisers, but you would definitely arrive more refreshed in the Focus.
You pays your money and takes your choice.
