Friends hubby from Sweden off to Spa and the Ring with his mate but what model is this?
Asked my friend and she just said "a nice white one" :-)
I think it's a 997 GT3 RS

Will be flamed if I get this wrong, but I think you are right. To be more precise, it's a 997.2 GT3 RS. Only really going on the rear lens and the 'scaffold'-type wing.

Red mirrors suggest that, but does it look wide enough?

I think you'd be hard pressed to distinguish between wide/standard body from that one picture. Certainly looks to me to be a 'gen 2' 997 gt3rs.

Nice.

The decals certainly accentuate the wide bum looks smile

I did a quick search on the plate, though not sure if it was the whole number and not expecting to find much.. Also ties in with the yellow under the wing too.

Right...Gen 1. Still, look at the mirrors, even on the Gen.2. and the trailered car appears to have the standerd RS.2 mirrors.

Ok, so whilst you guys are focusing on the model...

...I am very concerned about whether your friend has trailered a 911 before!
The car should be loaded the other way around (reversed on to the trailer) so that there is more weight on the tow nose (rear engined car needs to be the other way round). That trailer is likely to swerve all over the place all the way to the ring!

I am also not sure from the picture about how the straps have been tied...may be they are ok, but then given the above para, I am concerned there too!

Please put my mind at ease (and heart given that it is clearly carrying a hallowed GT3 RS) by contacting your friend and confirming they loaded that car like that knowing something that I do not!
