private messaging and contacting sellers

Tried to message someone on here through the contact me part of their profile, normally goes straight away and I have a confirmation email in my own inbox to show its sent, recently this didnt happen until two days after I sent it, and I think seeing as I've had no reply I don't think it went through.
Secondly just tried to contact a seller regarding some part's, and it just would not send, just kept highlighting my email as if it was wrong, and wouldn't go through.

These are two different systems if I read your post correctly.

As long as the member you are emailing has kept their email address up to date, when you get the copy of the email will be when they get theirs... so despite it being slow, it will have sent.

The parts stuff, was this through the classifieds? If so it is strange it didn't allow your email address through - did you use the same as the email address you have registered here?

Yes same email address, used it many time's before on classified stuff , but it just would not accept it this time, just refused to send and kept the address highlighted in red/pink as if to say it was incorrect.
