Hmmm.... So they're claiming 2.5 hours battery life for the new HD Hero, and it has the highest capacity battery of all of them (by a small margin). But it could, I suppose, contain older tech that consumes more power...

I can't seem to find any claims for battery life for either Hero4.

The Hero 3+ won't be available for much longer, if at all. The UK distributor isn't replenishing their stock so the 3+ Black has pretty much gone, apart from Grey Imports. The 3+ Silver might still be around for a bit.

Our stock of Hero 4 Black, Silver and the £99.99 Hero arrives next week :-D
I'm guessing that's the same for all stockists?

I think it's just a strategic move by GoPro. We've noticed the RRP has come down on most things. Some by quite a way.

Hero 3+ Battery was £19.99. Now £15.99

Hero 4 Battery £15.99

GoPro Fetch Mount. Was £59.99. Now £45.99.

GoPro Suction Mount. Was £39.99. Now £32.99

The rest are pretty similar.

We had the new LCD Touch BacPac and Battery BacPacs arrive today. Again, cheaper than the previous models.

LCD is £20 less!

They should release a version for quad/hex/etc-o-copters, without all the LCD gumpf, and less weight.

I watched almost all of that - fascinating bit of design! And I've never heard a person so enthusiastic about PCBs...

I almost ordered the new cheap one, but then I saw a quality comparison with the last gen ones, and it did not look good. So I'm waiting until some user reviews are out.

No reflection on the design of the new model, but Dave Jones has lost his brand spanking new Hero 4 at the bottom of a 4m deep pool in the middle of nowhere hehe

Poor bugger, I feel for him there.

It looking like that. The only 3+ model we can get our hands on at the moment (for a limited time) is the Hero 3+ Black Music Edition which doesn't come with a waterproof housing or wifi remote but does come with The Frame (v2) and Jaws Flex Clamp, Clear Lens Cover and some other interesting mounts used for mounting the camera to things like guitars and mic stands. Still a good deal if you already have a waterproof housing.

Does anybody who has pre-ordered a 4 had any information about actual delivery dates? I pre-ordered a 4 Black (29th Sep) via Jessops. Not heard a sausage since though.
