If I remember correctly those Victors were prone to breaking in half in a major accident ?

Remember being in my father's company car FA when the rear springs broke and the handbrake locked the back wheels and we spun round. Fortunately there was a gap in the traffic and the BP tanker coming towards us stopped about 6 feet from us. He had the car for 10 months from new and rust holes appeared in the front wings at the top near the windscreen.

He used to regularly replace rear springs in his FB which he bought about 5 years later so rust wasn't the only problem with the early cars.
