Hi all,

Had a bit of a search through and couldn't find anything on PH about this one specifically, but thinking of picking up a Cambridge Minx Air 200 to sit in the kitchen and play music over (predominantly) Bluetooth from my phone, iPad or laptop, internet radio and such like.

They would appear to get some good reviews:

Does anyone have any experience of these first hand? I'm going to get down to Richer Sounds when I have a chance to have a listen.

I would go for a Sonos Play 3/5, but to be honest have been put off by the lack of Bluetooth connectivity as I know my phone (a Blackberry Z10) will struggle using their specific app, and I also don't like the idea of having to also buy a Sonos Bridge just to get it to work wirelessly without being plugged directly in to the router (though I understand that may be changing/has already changed?)

Any other recommendations of a similar nature and in the same ball park price range (c.£350)? I've also read reviews on the Samsung M7 and Geneva Model S and they also appear to be good bets.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have experience with the minx, but I do run cambridge audio aero speakers which use the same technology.
The bmr speakers are very good at dispersing the sound throughout the room and the they are very clear sounding. I'm not sure how it will handle the lower frequencies but with 200w amplifier it should be more than enough.

If you have the space (I know it's for the kitchen) have a look at the mini hihf section on richer sounds as well. Although the power is as high as the minx the speakers I believe will give a better sound. Ones like the Dali zensor 1's, monitor audio bx2's, QAqustics 2020's etc are all great sounding for the price and most off the mini hifi's will give you a CD player as well as Bluetooth connectivity etc. (if you do connect your phone, tablet, please use the USB cable, there's an instant improvement in quality from Bluetooth).

Just an example....
