Well well - I am a Tory voter but what a superb speech given today by Cameron the content and his passion over many different and key aspects of UK life the width and breath of the country.

Regardless of what an individuals natural voting position I think everyone would agree it was a vastly superior effort to Labour in every possible measure.

I had consigned myself to the fact we as a country were going to get labour in May next year however I'm really hoping those promises will move enough people into the Tory vote camp.

Say what you will. Its what you do that matters.
4 years in office is enough time to show the electorate your intentions.

Caught a bit of it on the news, but sounded like tax cuts maybe in a few years for the better off, provided that all sorts of improbable things happen?

Tax free threshold increased to £12.5k that's helping everyone especially the lowest paid as that makes the biggest difference to them.

Min wage working 30hours a week no tax to pay that is superb taking a further 1million people out of tax altogether

Jokes aside, I would be about £130 a month better off, if my maths is correct.

Still voting UKIP

I was in the hall and it was an astonishingly well delivered speech.

There was almost no ideology - it was more like a budget speech in many ways - just a long list of commitments should they win the next election

The Central theme was "get the economy right and you'll be able to have a better job, a better home, better healthcare, better education for your kids and more money in your pocket"

It is a very similar policy to that of UKIPs the only difference is that UKIP explained how they would pay for it by reducing foreign aid.

…and you guys fell for it, hook, line and sinker LOL. The guy is a serial liar, why are his own MP's jumping ship?

ps just to remind you guys, he's been in since 2010 and all he's done is cut Child benefit for some medium/high earners (sending the excess to Eastern European kids) oh and and let me think, oh yes, gay marriage is now legal. Now he promises gold!

Nope, the 15% lowest paid are already below the current tax threshold. Gives money to everyone else earning below £100k

I've voted Tory all my life but explain to me why he has not already done any of this? Doesn't have to wait until he's, possibly, re-elected.

Therein lies the crux.

They've not achieved their own targets to-date, why should we expect them to deliver next time?

Maybe it's just my (old) age, but all I heard was IF, IF, IF.... (Oh, and something about 2020!)

One final point; getting the economy right is THEIR job.

I.E. If THEY fail, WE lose.

Still no mention of an EU referendum, cutting immigration, welfare cuts, foreign aid etc etc. Just pathetic little jibes from him and Boris towards UKIP.

Well sorry Dave, your blind arrogance and accute deafness regarding the EU issue is going to cost you the next election imo.

Maybe, in April 2020 if the deficit is gone by then - so don't hold your breath

If the Tories lose it, who's going to win?

Perhaps many others wont appreciate the benefits from it that you will?
