Hey,

We will be visiting the better halfs friends in Montreal Canada, but we are thinking of driving up from toronto to Montreal, there will be 2 adults 2 children making the trip, if we are going to drive up and stop off at a few places along the way i quite like the idea of hiring a Ford F250/Dodge Ram type pick up truck to make the trip, can anyone recommend websites that have these kind of options or has anyone had any experience of this trip and where to see along the way?

Thanks

Many of the typical rental places have pick up trucks as well. Rare to find them in stock at the airport but in the residential locations there will be stock. This one is from Enterprise as an example. Often, you can rent the cheapest crapest car in the lot and get offered the pick up. This has happened to me several times but my wife always said no. This is $60 CAD a day if booked today. Note the mileage restriction though. Not seen this before.

Large Pickup

Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab or similar
V8 Engine
Automatic transmission
Premium audio system with AM/FM/CD and 8 speakers
Advanced driver and passenger airbags
Power windows and door locks
Keyless entry operated via key fob
Front 40/20/40 split reclining bench seat with driver adjustable seat
Cruise control
Separate driver & passenger climate controls

Mileage Restrictions

KILOMETRES ARE UNLIMITED AS LONG AS THE VEHICLE REMAINS INSIDE THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO, WITH A MAXIMUM OF 4000 KILOMETRES. IF THE VEHICLE IS TRAVELLING OUTSIDE OF ONTARIO KILOMETRES ARE 200 KMS DAILY, 1400 KMS WEEKLY, AND 4000 KMS MONTHLY WITH .20 EACH ADDITIONAL KILOMETRE

I should have mentioned that my example was from a Toronto location and they will bring it to where you are staying.

I love Montreal. enjoy
