Since the discussion thread has been very quiet in recent months, we're going to try combining the two threads in to one. As such there is no separate entries thread or discussion thread. All October Photo Comp posts can go in this thread.
One word of caution - if you want to post up more than one image then please go back edit or delete your earlier posts to make it clear which one is your entry.
Aside from that, usual rules apply. Good Luck!

Wow - what a terrific selection to have to choose from.
It was lovely to see some different approaches to similar basic themes:- the snappers taking landscapes & motor sport, the straight-on shots, Paul's man in the fairground is a lovely photo and the iphone wedding photo made me smile.
For quality, I'm unable to separate the photo's, so I judge everybody 1st Runner Up and for purely personal reasons I give my vote to Baz.
In my youth I lived near Niagara and visited many times. We used to race a Buick Gran Sport at Niagara Drags most Sundays, our times were around 12.3 @ 113. A couple of years ago I returned to the US with my daughter for a holiday & took pictures from this very spot.
Baz, I like the happiness and fun pose of the subject, the wonderful background of Niagara and the way you've framed the mist, the bright red coat and jet black hair and the photo already showing on the iPad.
For me Baz, you've captured many elements in one joyous photo, so Congratulations, you are October's winner..
