How did you find the (presumably standard) PSM on track?

K
Really like the interior on this =)

Kinda like the 17" wheel look as well, smaller is better as I say to the missus =D

PS could have jacked it up and lined up the wheels for the photos ! Hehe

Always liked the cayman and I almost bought one because of the handling alone. Though in the end I bought my Z4M coupe for the engine!

Actually, you can have a Cayman S as a weekend driver and an E46 M3 as a DD.... which is what I currently have biggrin

Does that work well as a daily / weekend pair? i struggle to get the right combination and would never have looked at that as a pair as they have a few similarities. Do you find it works well? How long have you ran them together? (Sorry for going off topic)

How are you finding it? You mentioned swapping to 17" wheels and more forgiving tyres had improved things dramatically?

It is, it gets booked up pretty much as soon as it's announced. However, as a chance to experience a whole load of pork via pax laps it's a good day out & worth the trip up.

No worries, just a suggestion like but it is a grand day out with some absolutely lovely cars turning up-even if oulton in March can be a bit grim! As it's booked up so far in advance you always get people pulling out at the last minute however so the is a fair chance of getting on closer to the day.

I've wanted a Cayman for years, and the right one came up in October just one month after I sold my E36 M3 Evo.

I've had my E46 M3 for almost three years now, and I've bought both the M3 and Cayman for exact same reasons that you mentioned. They do have a few similarities, but I feel this is the best combination of power and comfort.

If I were to choose an extreme pair, I'd have gone for an E36 328i as a DD, and an Elise S2 111S as a weekend toy.

(Sorry for going off topic again)

I have to say - this really works for me as lowered proposition.

Looks 'get-in-and-drive honest'

I think you should investigate.

Nice picture! Really like the look of those wheels, pretty much decided I want to find a nice 2.7 cayman and put it on 17" wheels, they are probably the best I have seen.
