Had a feeling that would be the case, I think I need to ride one before doing any more FAB. And bones need to knit before that happens

Thanks for your help smile

Depends where you are, but we've got demo bikes available. You're welcome to come and have a go, if you think you're lard enough.

Tim, some great looking products but you really need to invest in your website. No offense mate but that is painful to use.

My web site is similarly awful, but at least get some contact nos and an address somewhere near the front page smile

You're miles away from me, but if I'm ever up that way I'll look you up yes

Yeah, That is what I was looking for and it took me ages to find.

Also seriously thinking of having a punt on a fat bike purely for sts and giggles.

Any thoughts on the new genesis caribou:

I got my Rocky Mountain Blizzard this week, and love it so far. It is slower than an MTB on road, but it climbs fast and descends really well. Sketchy and steep stuff is easy, the grip offered by the 4.7" tyres meant traction is astonishing.

Roll on winter...

I rode in the Merida Brass Monkeys enduro race at Minley today yesterday, and was passed by two chaps on fat bikes. They seemed to be running quite well in the terrible muddy quagmire that was masquerading as a race lap. They sound awesome on gravel at speed too. If I had the space and the cash, I'd be very tempted.

ETA: One of the guys on the fatties came 6th overall.

It's a nice bike - the tyres let it down to be honest, but otherwise all is good.
Give me a shout if you want one, I'll see what we can do.

I thought I'd bump this thread up, as I spotted this while browsing yesterday...

Obviously the cable discs need to go immediately, to be replaced by hydraulic ones, but it looks like it could be fun for someone wanting to take a punt.

19.4kg though, that's A LOT of weight!

Looks like fun, won't be though. The gearing is miles wrong, the spec is very low rent. You'd be better with the one from Go Outdoors for £350 smile

I've got a Specialized Fatboy, love it, it's amazing to ride. Much prefer it to my Giant Anthem redface Only changes so far is the saddle to a Fizik Tundra2, because I managed to bend the Henge it came with redface

Love these, it's one of those things that you just need to try for a week before committing though.

I am still regularly using mine, it is a fair bit slower up hill - but storms down.

Key strengths are grip in snowy, boggy, muddy and rooty sections - gives loads of confidence and everyone who has had a go loves it!
