Hi guys, I wanted to ask if anyone has installed any stone protection film (the likes of 3M) to retain originality in his lotus and whether they have anyone to recommend fitting?

Thanks

Had mine done when it was about 6 months old as it was starting to get a slapping from the stones.

The kit I had covered the front of the clam and inspection panels, leading edge of the splitter and side scoops, all of the side sills, behind the rear wheels, mirrors and all the front lights.

Here is a link to the guys that did mine and a piccy of mine from their gallery smile

My Elise has armourfend, I think it was fitted by the original dealer. It certainly stops stone chips but it's almost impossible to avoid obvious lines of wax along the edges of it.

Depends how much you get done I guess. I would say a range of £300 - 1000

Had my old Elise done with armourfend after a front end repair and it cost about £500.

Wouldn't bother again TBH. Looked crap and at the same cost as a front end blow over I'd rather see the odd small stone chip than the wax effect and shut line of the protection film given the cost is comparable.

VentureShield is the best film protection by far. Optically clear and a typical front end kit (including about a third of the front clam, headlights, spots, and mirrors) will cost around £399 fitted.

I've had it fitted to the last three of my five Lotii and been absolutely delighted with it. It can also be polished just like your paintwork, plus, the dead flies comes off.... erm, dead easy!!
