Peugeot 207 1.4 or 1.4VTI

Hi guys,

Which engine is likely to be more durable. We had 1.4 8v 206 in the family it was fine is the 1.4VTI okay? or trouble?

Personally Id stick with the 8v TU version. I have the 16v Prince engined one and it drinks oil, has weird throttle response, hunts at idle and I cant imagine its much more economical then the 8v if at all!
