Anyone using the ISymDVR app?

Just started with this on new IPhone6 and impressed for a free app.
I wanted to purchase the full app but the upgrade icon does not work, so i emailed the writer.
Quite surprised to get a prompt reply with news a new version optimised for IOS8 will be coming in weeks.

Not so impressed with the Google live traffic overlay as it did not seem to tally with my traffic observations.
