Looks good, especially with the later bumper. Don't be put off by the stories you hear about them - I've used mine as a daily driver for ages now and it's never let me down. Mine was last rebuilt at 40000 miles and it clicked over 114000 the other day - they'll last as long as you keep up regular maintenance on them. Oil and filter changes every 3000 miles and as others have said don't let it sit and get hot. There's loads of stuff around on the net too if you're prepared to look for it. If you want I think I have a digital copy of the workshop manual I could send you.

I think they look so much better standard, there's no way they look their age.

Any excuse to show mine:

Alex, how'v you been mate? not spoken forever since you removed facebook, RX7 looks awesome, good to see you treated yourself after graduation. your going to hate me for this, but I'v been assisting Dan in modifying his RX7, I know how much you love my style in modifying cars hehehehe

Master cylinder gone in clutch... Awaiting recovery. Good start I reckon!! Luckily garage will pay for the repair.

Sure its not the slave cylinder as the master cylinder does the clutch and brakes? Both are easy to replace so hopefully it wont take too long.

More pictures required once it returns! smile

Sorry I meant slave cylinder. (incredibly long day!) heard it's not the biggest job in the world, it's just frustrating. Car felt absolutely fantastic on the journey home, a real joy to drive.

An update.

I picked the car up after a 5 hour train journey which was great fun.. On the way back home the reliability horror stories came true. The clutch plate disintegrated meaning I was picked up by this.

After a rather annoyed phonecall to the seller, he handled the situation rather well, and sorted the issue and repair out with a mate of mine's garage.

During the time it was being repaired I went a bit mad and bought some Tein Coilovers, a decat pipe and a diffuser. (no idea why - it's now in the shed) All of which shall be fitted in time.

A week later the car was back. A rather wet drive to work was the first port of call. On this 11 mile journey I fell in love with the car. It handles like nothing I've experienced before (I've been in quite a few performance cars...) and the pops on the overrun are the most addictive thing!

She's currently tucked away now there's salt about on the roads, and probably will be until a rare dry day appears. I'll get some pictures soon, as I haven't really got many.

I'm rather looking forward to the ownership, I can see it staying for a jolly long time.
