Think I started a thread on this a couple of years ago when I first passed.

Is everyone up for sorting out a ride out? Could do with some others to ride with!

I'm not on Facebook so not sure if things are organised on there. Be good to get out now the weather is finally getting better.

I can make pretty much whenever in the coming months. So whatever suits everyone else is fine.

RemaL- Are you looking to buy a new R1? I saw a couple of your posts in BB. It's just a pain to try and post on here normally from my phone. I'd seriously consider selling my soul for one of those!

Benbay001- Where abouts in Bristol are you?

I'm going to test ride one later this year. I have promised a few people a review on my thoughts on the test ride.

As for getting one, I could but heard many say about how extreme it can be a is pretty much a race bike for the road.
As my Blade is great one track, road and touring europe I don't want to jump onto a bike that will not give me the same feeling I get on the blade.
I've talked to a few people in the know behind the scenes who will be taking them apart and dyno'ing them. So I take their feedback on the New R1.

But never say never. I would either get the new R1 or hoping to wait a few more years and get the NEW Blade. Most likely 2017 and keep my 11 plate blade just for track

Ah ok. I'm in Stoke Gifford and also happy to travel to meet.

RemaL- Be interesting to see what they make on the dyno, do most bikes generally meet the claimed figures?
I'm saving for a Repsol Blade at the moment, hopefully be on one next year.

Apologies if this posts twice again, stupid iPhone.

Agreed and I know James at JHS racing will have on on his dyno soon wink

As for claimed figures it will be interesting. My repsol on JHS racing dyno kicked out 165BHp at the back wheel. More than enough for me and 20BHP down on the crank figure for the bike. I think it's 185BHP maybe a little less.So if the R1 has around 180 thats good going and enough for the road and track for most normal humans lol

I've had some work done by them in the past on my bike. Certainly know their bikes! Always got some nice stuff to look at in there aswell. Shame it's a bit far out for me. I'm having a full service done on my R6 today by a mobile guy.

Haha I can imagine that's enough power! Mines a claimed 108 so not sure what it makes at the wheel but it's plenty fast enough at the moment although I've never ridden a 1000 so I'm sure I'd change my mind once I've ridden one!

Love to have a look at your Blade sometime. I think the Repsol colours look amazing!

Cheers Bod, I have only had 3 bikes in 9 years of riding.

First bike was a 600 Fazer. had for 2 years. went to a new 08 Speed Triple which was fun. But the Blade i've kept for 4 years and still gives me a grin every time I get on her.

Didn't have anywhere particular in mind just seeing if anyone was around first.

I guess there isn't much point if the weather will be rubbish anyway!

Too late but I would have joined.

I went for a ride straight after work anyway. Didn't realise it was Weston bike night.
