I have just bought a C70 convertible 2.0, having ummed and aahd over a CLK, SAAAAB and an Audi A4 (all convertibles). Volvo just offered *something* the others didnt. Maybe it reminds me of my dad's 244GL. I dunno, I picked the volvo!

Anyway, to the point: It has a lot of paperwork, but alas no radio code written anywhere. How can I get one in a method that doesnt involve forking out lots of money to a dealer?

thanks in advance

Call Volvo, They will tell you, If your dealer is cool they won't charge you, if they are not, they will.

When you get it, release the radio unit (piss on a C70), write the number on the back/top of the unit and put it back in the dashboard.

No one is going to steal a Mk1 C70 radio so just stick the number on it.

Also, check the unit first to make sure the previous owner hasn't done the above - its quite common these days - No pinches stereos these days.

cheers - I'll check tonight (screwdriver job, or some fancy pointless "keys"?)

Press the two vertical slots, to the left of CD-3 and to the right of TP, they then pop out and act as handles to pull the unit out.

Donald's Volvo in Ipswich - I thank you for my radio code... free of charge!

..and to top it off, they only wanted the plate, not the radio serial number anyway!

I now have Guns n Roses again. Joy!
