Small features you like about your car...
Discussion
What small, seemingly insignificant features on your car do you like that many might not think twice about?
For me, I love the absolutely enormous arm rest; it just makes it feel so much more relaxing.
Another is the auto park feature is nice, once you come to a stop the parking brake will come on so you can take your foot off the brake.... It's nice and also helps prevent you blinding the person behind you.
So, over to you.

Having a footrest next to the clutch. Something so simple, but makes a big difference to me. I don't know why some manufacturers make cars without them.
+1. The remote tailgate release, so handy for chucking stuff into the boot rather than having to fiddle with unlocking the car, then having a hand free to press the release button that way.
The small sun visor that pops down above the rear view mirror.
Hooks in the boot that you can hang your shopping from
Auto Dim rear view mirror
Foot rest by the clutch
Arm rest
Lockable Glovebox
The fact I can change a light bulb without a dealer, special tools, bumper coming off or an entire Sunday being needed
Basically a load of stuff you dont get on newer cars without paying extra for these days

The captain's chair armrests, the dashboard angled towards the driver (you never realise how much until you are a passenger in your own car!) The noise the indicators make, the MPG swingometer, the heated washer nozzles (in 1995!) the heated door locks for those cold mornings, and the fact that the forward and backward adjustment for the seat is connected via a cable to the seatbelt height.
That little list makes me sound like a proper fanboi, but really those simple things just make the car that little bit nicer.

The 'nut cooler' air vent just at the bottom of the steering column that directs cool air at your family jewels in Summer. And presumably warm air in Winter (I'll find out later this year)
Side mirrors that automatically angle downards to show you the kerb as soon as you engage reverse gear.

I like the 8 buttons I can assign to whatever task I want. (E90).
e.g.
1 - phone home (ET button)
2 - sat nav home
3 - USB music
4 - check tyre pressures
5 - Radio 2
etc. etc.
Yes! I love these buttons too, I've got mine set for sat nav home, phone home, radio stations, ipod etc. I also love the fact that if you place your finger on the button without actually pressing it, a shortcut menu will pop up on the screen telling you what each number does before you press it.e.g.

Never had a car with a hand brake before?I also love the automatic boot opening and closing function. Heated windscreen washers and wiper blade area to stop the blades sticking to the screen. To be honest, the 7 has quite a few nice little features
Auto dimming rear view mirror.
The little dip in the boot floor to put stuff in so it doesn't slide about.
The cup holders in the doors are nice and deep.
The wee slot by the boot release to put your phone.
The shift light, although annoying at times, has been handy as this is my first car with six gears and I often forget that on a motorway.
Lockable box between the seats.
Bluetooth.
