Thanks Guys.
Dave, I'm running a modified (de-tuned) SBC with just a tad under 500 bhp and likewise just under 500 lb/ft torque which is plenty IMHO!
Roger, thanks for your kind comments on my driving.
Kruncher, you should have been there, it was a great day... sorry to rub it in.
Best regards,
Trevor

Thanks Dave, you're right it does take a lot of effort or perhaps determination and a shed load of time to edit these vidoe's! But you do learn from the experience and I can say that next time I don't intend to shoot anywhere near as much footage which will hopefully seriously reduce the time it takes to edit? Converting the footage into an editable format also takes up so much memory and disk space which also increased the amount of time taken. It's also really tedious going over an over the same footage trying to select what you hope are the best bits, then merging shots between cameras as it's all new to me as well, so with a bit of luck it'll get easier as I get used to doing it going forward!
If anyone has any useful tips e.g. recommend some good free or cheap software and even hardware that can cope it would be appreciated?
Cheers,
Trevor

I also took footage from the same day, unfortunately we never got on track at same time so no footage of each other which is a shame.
Prior to this I had never done any video editing at all, I used 2 go pro's and my ecu has logging, I thought 'how hard could it be?'... pain in the arse is what it was lol.
To be fair the main problem was me finding the right tools for what I wanted to do... I ended up using 2 tools, the first was 'Wondershare video editor'... it allows you to put video's within video's along with a all the usual editing tricks like letting you choose which video to take the sound from, wasn't that expensive at around £50.
Once I had the clip I uploaded it to an awesome software called 'Dashware'... this allows you to overlay telemetry onto a video. I had to write an interface to allow my Motec data to upload into it and then I created my own gauges... but the results are fantastic IMO... considering the motec version is thousands I was very happy
Leason I learned on the day was the rear camera was on my spoiler and shook at ugh speed, thus I used the rear camera as a main and put the front one inside it... Id rather it be the other way round so Im going to mount the front camera more solid in future.... I loved you splitter mounted one, I think thats going to be a winner for my car in future
Must admit it was good to see someone else in a very fast car driving like me, i.e. looking in mirrors a lot for faster drivers and getting out the way quickly... I've seen a lot of videos of other much faster drivers than me but they seem to all ignore faster traffic behind and it always looks like a race lol
Here is my Video from the day... if you don't mind I am going to copy your set onto my thread on the Noble Forum.

There doesn't seem to be much wheel spin as the boost kicks in either. Nothing can keep up under power.
What gearbox/transaxle are you using as it sounds like either a sequential or automated change?
Paul
Hi Paul... it doesn't really suffer from turbo lag, it has a power band but the power is controlled on the throttle like an NA car... in the rear only video coming onto the wing straight it has a bit of wheelspin as I put the throttle on but its easy to manage on the throttle.... even with over 600ftlb and my weedy 265 rear tyres
Box is a second hand mondeo box I bought on ebay for £250 and then fitted a quaife and had it shot peaked and polished with oil cooling.... its a stock H pattern with me shifting with the clutch... this track day was the first time I used the full throttle function were I don't have to lift when I change and the ecu sorts it all out lol.... its the triple plate clutch that I developed thats the secret to the fast changes.

Hi Andy, many thanks for the tips. I also used GoPro Studio as my In Car cam is a GoPro and the front and rear cams are DogCam bullet HD cams. The GoPro Studio software worked okay, other than taking a 'very' long time to convert, edit and export! I had to get a 2TB remote hard drive storage device as the converted AVI files were anything up to and over 25GB each - this was mainly due to the DogCam bullet HD cameras as they shot footage in roughly 25 minute segments, whereas the GoPro shot around 8-9 minute segments!? So my old PC didn't have anywhere near enough disk space to edit any multiple clips. Still, it was my first attempt and I'm quite pleased with the results. In future, I need to make sure the sound recording it set to low and the sealed caps are fitted to the DogCam's as there is far too much wind noise for my liking. I may also fit a sealed cover on the GoPro to also reduce wind noise - it gets so hot inside the Ultima, I have to have both windows fully open (helicopter vents - one pointing forward, the other pointing reward to create an air flow through the cockpit!
Your video's are great, I like the Motec data overlaid and the video within video, nice work and very well done. As the guys have already mentioned, the acceleration on your Noble is pretty awesome, though not that surprising with 600ft/lb. I would guess that getting the power down is your biggest problem. You probably need some really sticky rubber to help. Thanks for the nice comments on my driving and it would have been great if we'd been on track at the same time, that no doubt would have produced some very interesting footage. Unless I'm mistaken, you were parked in front of me in the pit garage? Oh well, there's always a next time and we'll have to make sure we get out on track together.
Cheers,
Trevor.
P.S. Thanks for posting my clips on the Noble forum.
