BBWF 2015 possibilities....

Hi Peeps...As you may or may not know i have the 3-5th of July 2015 pencilled in for next year...It has been brought to my attention that the Griffgrowl couldn't secure a date so a combined event may be a possibility..Above all i think it could be a right laugh..At the moment I'm talking with a rep from the Ricoh Arena and will be discussing the options shortly..I will know before next month..We could even combine it at the arena although I'm happy to go with EC again..Can i have your thoughts please...Cheers...Ziga
PS: If we do have a combined event then there will be a "Tug of war" challenge and maybe a few more fun things to see who is No.1...Of course its all in the best possible taste....

Likewise love a Griff, but not as much as a Wedge, so more than happy for a combined event. Personally I liked EC as a venue, great location, good car park, very helpful staff and reasonable price. Hopefully the wife will be coming next year so the pool, sauna etc will tempt her - at least if she gets bored they will keep her occupied.

Strangely enough, I have a soft spot for a well fettled Wedge 
Really hope the Growl takes place in some form or other but it seems like its in doubt for this year.
Not fussed if there's a formal joint event but I am hoping to get along to the BBWF in the Griff anyway (and just blagging it...)

Thanks for the positive response...They are talking about not having it next year due to lack of places to hold it as EC can't give them anything until sept!..
..And EC does tick all the boxes..So i think helping them out would be a good thing...There might be an issue with room availability but I'm going to speak to EC tomorrow and see what they can do.
I guess if all else fails then there is accommodation locally..Or theres sofa beds by the bar...Or even roomshare..But i must point out that i will only share with the opposite sex so wives and G-Friends are most welcome..

Its really rather simple;
Before/during/after the BBQ we'll have a 'who can drink the most' contest, after which, say 4ish, we'll stagger out for the tug-of war (by then technically half of the night is past anyway...)
However wins gets a room, anybody else...don't !
I personally think that is a briljant idea, no ?
