It seems that someone in Salop has been watching Man vs Food episodes.

In a similar vein to The Salt Lick and Raleigh's The Pit, Shropshire now has a proper BBQ joint bounce

I've lost count of the number of times - whilst watching MvF - I've drooled over the BBQ that Adam Richman has been tucking into.

See here : http://www.smokestopbbq.co.uk/

A visit is in order at the earliest opportunity!

That looks really good. Probably worth a stop on the way back from a North Wales trip!

I've heard mixed reviews so far; some loved it others thought it was a bit meh. But food like this won't appeal to everyone so I'm expecting it to be quite tasty for what it is. Me and the OT are due to go for a meal there soon as we're just down the road.

Shrewsbury has some great places to eat these days though!

I must admit, we've not been to Shrewsbury to eat out for ages (but with The Fox and The Aston only 5 mins drive away it's a decent excuse).

We used to love Paulo's on Hills Lane, but when Paulo left to set up another eaterie in Newtown it seemed to go a little downhill.

Can I ask what the current eating "hotspots" in S'bury are, Rich?

I went there last month, service was abit slow but the actual food tasted amazing.

Reviews are seem to be hit and miss, but if your in the area certainly worth a visit.

Sorry super slow reply!

Really like the Fox, some friends used to live just down the road from it so went there a few times. B&P pubs are in my experience always a nice place to eat and have a few pints of tasty ale.

Our favourites around Shrewsbury are The Corbet Arms in Uffington, Horseshoes in Dorrington and in town: Bistro Jacques, Henry Tudor House, House of the Rising Sun (a bit pretentious but well worth a visit!) and Momo No Ki. The Glutton Club is quite nice for posh grub also! Not been to Paulo’s for a few years but that’s a shame as it was a nice and quirky (in a good way) place to eat.
