Depending on the age, 7 owners wouldn't put me off, but might make me want a thorough inspection by a decent indie before I went ahead with it, although that is a good plan for any purchase I guess!

There must be plenty of car around which get bought as a weekend toy, people decide they're not using it enough, and so it gets sold. Repeat a few times and it's easy to see how quickly the number can rack up.
