Is there a reason for it? Slightly irritating that the clips posted in the news stories never have a full-screen option so you have to go to YouTube directly for it.

Seems an odd but deliberate omission so I'm curious what the rationale is

I've commented on this before. Seems daft.

That's not actually the case, if you click the "title" of the video in the shaded bar at the top it'll take you to the video on YouTube, complete with controls and fullscreen smile

We're fully aware of that Switch; the point being that on pretty much every other site, an embedded YouTube video has a 'fullscreen' option without needing to leave the site you're on.

I've just had a root around 'in the back' and it seems that the embed code being used is an old template rather than the full default embed code. I'll pass it on.

We are looking at another video provider which will allow fullscreen all the time, as the YouTube embed code is playing silly buggers... watch this space (well somewhere on this site) for more news soon smile

Gasp, I may be slow so apologies if it's been fixed for ages, but I've just noticed this is now fixed. Thanks folks!

Well holy fking stballs. It is!

Perhaps they could now look at why all the pictures in reviews and news etc are fuzzy and blurry on mobile view and why we can't have decent hi-res ones on desktop...?
