Hiya...how do I find out which front shocks are fitted to my car? Is there a site that gives the full component list for my car based on VIN? For my BMW, I use REALOEM.com
Cheers

You are at the crossover point between dynamics and bilstein, but should be bilstein code VH139 (much better)

no site i know of will tell you that.

easier to crawl under and spot on damper body stamp of maker

hi Bamfordmike...just checked, the labels have worn off on both sides. I can see D900W000 stamped on it if that means anything??

Hi.

I have looked on each type of damper i have and cant find that marking.

So, here is easiest way to tell if dynamics or bilstein.

The Dynamics damper does not have a cut-out section from damper body to mounting bush (marked with arrow A in photo)

The damper at top is dynamics

Also, bilstein has a machined section just above the mounting bush (marked B with arrow) and is stamped with 'B' stamp of design level of damper.

The stamping is tricky to see in car, but if you just look for the machined section (between the red lines) that will be give-away because as you can see from dynamics damper in first pic, the dynamics damper does not have that machined section.
